How this works
Every civic address in Barrie was matched against the ward boundaries in force for this election, using the City's own published address register and boundary file. The result is a lookup table stored on this server, so the address you type is checked here and never transmitted to anyone.
The boundaries used are the new ones. Several published datasets still carry Barrie's 2022 wards, which would send you to the wrong ward; the tool that builds this index refuses to run against them.
Sources: AddressVW — municipal address points, City of Barrie — Open Data. Original document. 51,042 addresses, each resolved against both ward layers and shipped as a read-only SQLite index. A snapshot, not a live feed. WardsNov2026_WA_Dynamic — ward boundaries in effect for the 2026 election, City of Barrie — GIS. Original document. The authoritative 2026 map. This is the layer a ballot follows. Re-verified 2026-08-09: the REST endpoint answers with ?f=json; its bare HTML view now returns 403, which is an access-path change, not a data change. All retrieved August 9, 2026.
The index was built August 3, 2026: 51,042 addresses, every one of them inside a ward.
This is an unofficial tool. If it disagrees with the City, the City is right. Check the interactive ward map or ask the City's election office, and please tell us so we can fix it.
