Voting in person

There are no traditional polling stations in 2026, but you can still vote at a physical location, with staff to help. Five Voter Assistance Centres are open in the final week of voting.

  1. Go to any centre on an open day

Any of the five centres, on any of these days:

    • Thursday, October 22: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Friday, October 23: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday, October 24: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Monday, October 26 (voting day): 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The centres are not open Sunday, October 25, or during the first week of the voting period. Online and phone voting run the whole time, October 16 to 26.

  2. Bring your Voter Information Letter, or ID

You vote with the PIN from your letter, on a phone or internet terminal the centre provides. Lost your letter, or it never arrived? An election official will check your identification, disable the old PIN, and issue a new one on the spot.

Not on the Voters' List? The centres can add you or update your information. Fill out a revision form, show identification, and you can vote there and then if you wish.

  3. Ask for the help you need

You may bring a support person or an interpreter, or ask an election official to assist you; an oath may be required first. Election officials also attend institutions and retirement homes on arranged dates.
