Who is my Barrie councillor right now?
Who holds each seat right now (the council and trustees elected in 2022), and whether each of them has filed to run again in 2026.
Ward numbers do not carry over. Boundaries were redrawn in 2025, so the ward an incumbent represents today is not the same territory as the same-numbered ward on the 2026 ballot. What changed.

Common questions
When does the council elected in 2026 take office?
On November 15, 2026, for a four-year term. The Municipal Elections Act starts every council and school board term on November 15 of an election year (s. 6(1)). Until then the members listed on this page hold their seats, under the ward boundaries they were elected on.
