When Joe Tascona held office (lines, coloured by office) and the elections they contested without winning (dots).
Terms are drawn from election records alone: a line runs from each election to the next one for that office — or ends early where winning a different office ended the term — so a resignation for any other reason would not appear here. Council terms before 2003 come from the City of Barrie's list of council members, which gives years only, and are drawn by year; federal and provincial races before 2000 come from the official historical results. 2010 Mayor 9,765 27.9% Not elected
2007 Barrie provincial 18,167 39.2% Not elected
2003 Barrie—Simcoe—Bradford provincial 31,529 51.8% Elected
Federal and provincial rows come from Elections Canada and Elections Ontario results.
They are a different level of government on a different ballot, so their vote counts are not comparable with a municipal count. See the full riding history for how Barrie's ridings have been drawn and renamed since 1999.
